Located in East Africa, Uganda is termed as the Pearl of Africa due to its nature wonders. The breathtaking atmosphere that one experiences while in the country is just enough to make a visitor comfortable and feel at home. Today, this country is said to be the leading tourism destination in Africa and this is the reason why many visitors prefer to go there. One of the main reasons for this achievement is its hard-to find nature wonders.

Some of the different tourism activities that have made this country to be so unique especially in Africa include;-

Mountain gorilla tracking: The presence of these human-like primates is the main reason as to why Uganda is the most visited country on the continent. With a total estimate of 900 gorillas left in the world, Uganda has the largest percentage of these primates with an estimate of 450 gorillas. This may sound not real but the fact is that there are only three countries in the world where these primates can be tracked in their natural habitats. These include;- Uganda, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo. These three countries are good places to go gorilla trekking but according to research, Uganda provides the best atmosphere for the activity. Spending the whole day in the tropical forests of Bwindi Impenetrable and Mgahinga National Parks with the gorillas is a dream come true and an unforgettable experience.

Game Drive: Going on a game drive in some of the adventurous national parks in the country for wildlife viewing is a remarkable experience. While in a popup open roofed vehicles in the park, you can view different wild animals depending on the park you have visited and this will enable you to relax your mind and also take some interesting photos. Some of the animals you should expect on a Uganda Wildlife Safari include;- lions, leopards, zebras, antelopes, elephants, giraffes, kobs, hippopotamus, and many more. Some of the wild animals found in Uganda are so unique that you cannot find them in other countries and this makes a Uganda safari more unique.

Chimpanzee Tracking: – Mostly combined with gorilla tracking tours, chimpanzee tracking is another adventurous activity one can enjoy during a visit to this East African country. These human-like apes are interesting to spend a day with as they have some behaviors identical to those of human beings. Chimpanzees in Uganda can be tracked in Kibale Forest National back and if one is not interested in moving in the thick forest searching for the apes, he/she can go to Ngamba Highland where they are protected.

Cultural Tours: – With Uganda ranked as one of those countries with the highest number of ethnic tribes, it stands to be the best option for a true African cultural safari destination. Talking to some of the local people on a cultural visit to the country gives you an option to know some of the beliefs and norms of the people. You can also tour some of the cultural sites in the country and discover how blacks came into existence.

Bird watching:- With a number of different bird species in the country, the is no doubt that Uganda is a birding paradise. Around Lake Victoria is a wonderful pace for bird watching and some tourists roam around viewing different bird species.
